Mitch started his business career by founding Sun Design Pools on Long Island as it’s active president for forty years growing his business into an Inc. 5000 company. Along with his wife Marla they raised two beautiful children, Megan and Ryan, with whom Mitch enjoyed coaching their sports teams, enjoying their musical endeavors and just watching them grow up.
Mitch has been writing songs on and off his entire life. He has studied with Lou Stallman (“It’s Gonna Take a Miracle”, “Round and Round”) and worked with Mike Mandel (Jack Bruce and Friends Band), Rick Chudacoff (Grammy Nominated Songwriter & Producer), James "Boowie" Murphy (Flo Rida), Dan Jenks, Jason Garner, Lorraine Ferro, Emily "Soleil" Cleary, Kim Keyes, Mercy Stevens, Tabitha Fair, Rizzi Myers, Jason Eustice, and other talented musicians and collaborators.
Marla has many accomplishments to her credit. Her earliest love was dancing, where she studied at the Alvin Ailey School in NYC and was a founding member of Long Island’s Dance Theatre Eclectic. Next step was raising a family, her biggest life goal, and along with her husband Mitch, bringing two amazing children, Megan and Ryan, into the world. Then back to college, for her undergraduate studies at Hofstra University and then onto graduate school at Queens College where she shined as her class Valedictorian, going on to a rewarding career in school psychology. Next stop was her development as a gifted photographer, shooting pictures of everything from weddings to waterfalls. Today she is developing her style with her jazz piano. And through it all she also is an accomplished songwriter. To those that know Marla personally her best quality is the person she is, kind and loving to everyone around her.
